Policy Analyst
Ja Hyun Kim is a Policy Analyst in the Power Market & Grid Team at Solutions for Our Climate (SFOC). Her role is to identify key regulatory and systematic hurdles in the South Korean power sector that prevent the acceleration of solar and wind expansion while making the grid fairer and more flexible. Previously joining SFOC, she worked in research, public relations, and international cooperation in the field of climate action at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding. She first entered the climate and energy sector after her successful traineeship at the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in German Language and Political Science. Born and raised in South Korea, she is also fluent in both English and German. She is an avid reader and a K-Pop lover.
