Hansae Song is a bioenergy and land use policy officer with a specialization in phasing out unsustainable bioenergy and supporting forest conservation, both in South Korea and internationally. Drawing upon his experience with the United Nations Environment Programme and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hansae has led SFOC's initiatives to mitigate high-carbon forest biomass power and crop-based biofuels. His portfolio encompasses shaping dialogues concerning the supply chains of forest-risk commodities and monitoring deforestation activities by Korean companies in Southeast Asia. Having studied Wildlife Biology and Conservation at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Hansae currently resides in Alaska, United States
