Malika Maxutova is an Oil & Gas Associate at SFOC, and in her role she is dedicated to researching and proposing strategies to expedite the transition to a greener future. This includes advocating for the curtailment of fossil fuel expansion, particularly fossil gas, across Korea and the broader Asian region.

Before her role in the Oil & Gas team, Malika contributed to the Transition Finance team at SFOC, primarily exploring financial mechanisms to accelerate coal phaseout in Korea. Prior to joining SFOC, she gained valuable experience through internships at Danone and KPMG in Kazakhstan, as well as at the Gallup Korea Research Institute.

A recipient of the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), she holds Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from The University of Buckingham and Master’s degree in International Finance from Sogang Graduate School of International Studies.
